Commercial & Corporate Practice Group

Our commercial and corporate practice group represents businesses of all types and sizes. We act as general counsel to more than two hundred twenty (220) business entities, including the key regional bank (Laconia Savings Bank), high-tech manufacturers (including Cool Options, Inc.), traditional manufacturers and distributors (including All Metals Industries, Inc.), the Laconia Airport Authority, and various healthcare organizations (including Lakes Region Mental Health Center).

We represent clients in the purchase and sale of businesses from small to in excess of one hundred million dollar transactions. The firm has been involved in many major purchase and sale transactions, including Aavid Engineering, Community TV Corporation to Metrocast, Citizen Publishing Company, Bryar Motorpark Speedway to NH International Speedway, Dow Oil to Irving Oil, Quality Controls, Chip Cool, Inc. to TYCO, Castle Springs to CG Roxane, Scotia Technology and Laconia Savings Bank's purchase of certain branches from Homebank.

This practice group routinely forms corporations, limited liability companies, partnerships and other types of business entities. Our attorneys are experienced in dealing with difficult ownership disputes, including those that cannot be resolved without litigation. We provide counsel in business planning and business succession, buyout agreements, banking and commercial financing transactions, contract matters of all sorts, e-commerce, internet, leases, commercial real estate transactions, and environmental matters.
